Summary:Under general supervision, provides professional public health nursing services in accordance with Georgia State Nursing Protocols. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Providing Well Child Checkups, and Hearing, Vision, & Dental Screenings for school age children. Record pertinent observations and responses to treatment. Provides health education and/or instruction to families for the promotion and maintenance of health. Documents all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments. Prepares rooms, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained. Provides education to client and family. Administers immunizations according to policy. Respond to Public Health emergencies, including natural disasters.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of PHN experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:BSN and/or completion of physical assessment course and one-three years of experience as a RegisteredProfessional Nurse in pediatric services area.
Salary Information: $ 48,600 annual / Total compensation package, including leave value $87,256 / Pay Grade K
