Research Associate (Job Number: 191004W-01)
DuPont Pioneer is seeking a Research Associate to join our team in Cairo, Georgia. In this role, you contribute to the station achieving its goals by providing support to the research centers yield testing program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate seed filling activities for portions of the stations yield test.
Assist in data collection for yield test, including agronomic data and harvest data.
Provide crew leadership support during corn pollinating activities.
Ensure projects are completed by the timelines provided, provide guidance to full-time staff and temporary staff to ensure project completion.
Possible travel to winter nursery locations to provide support to winter nursery staff during their peak activities.
Contribute to the safety effort at the Cairo station by leading assigned safety programs and participating in other safety activities throughout the year.
During downtime, take on additional responsibilities from other areas at the station, depending on availability.
The following qualifications are required:
Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or a related science
Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive
Ability to work as an effective member of a team
Good communication skills
Ability to work outside in high temperatures during the summer
The following qualifications are preferred:
Experience in agronomy or related field
Experience in people management
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
